Check out some private crash tests. How about Consumer Reports, the Ford Tribute rating crap in crash tests while the smaller Hyundai Santa Fe was rated the highest out of their class. I wonder about the NHTSA really. Are they as thorough as DOT? Size and weight is bullshit. That's why all those light little sections of the freeway fell down in the Northridghe earthquake. They weren't HEAVY enough. It doesn't matter how much wood you put in a house, if it's not built right it will still fall down.
