in response to Chet Thornton:
: What is the availability for the Vespa Rally 200 engines and the price range that would be expected? Do they actually fit the GS series as suggested below with great emphasis (caps)? : Vespa SS180, Rally and P200 engines will fit a GS160 without a problem. I have a GS160 with P200 and there is one advertized for $800 in "The Bullocks" , if I remember right. I have seen GS 150 frame cut up to fit P200. If you want authenticity with good reliablity and speed, go with SS180 bored to fit P200 piston. Outward appearance of SS180 engine is close to original GS160. Not concerned with authenticity, go with P200 engine with Rally kick start quadrant and lever - can't tell without removing cowl. Lots of go fast equipment for P200, more engines and lower cost generally with P200.
