I got a new tach from Westach today and I noticed in the instructions that instead of wiring the red wire to the spark plug wire, this setup connects the red wire to the magneto.

So I'm thinking that I should hook it up to a splice on the green wire on an early P200 wiring design coming out of the stator which also would go to the CDI or black box. Anybody know if this works? Any ideas on this?
