Yes, but my point is that the Coffee Council recommends a 190 degree brewing temperature.

Skin scalds at 140 degrees - can be at a lesser temp for the old fogies.

So if you brew coffee at 190 degrees and keep it heated at around that temperature, it's still above scalding temperature.
