And you can't email the bidders and warn them, cuz their identities are hidden "to protect them".

Yep and after emailing her "Cindy Do" the seller she says this in reply; "How much are you willing to pay for a restoration in the US. I can surely do it for you. By the way, I guarantee that these Vespa run better than any Vespa restored anywhere in the world."

I don't know about your opinions but I just bought one of those yesterday. It is more beautiful than in the pictures and the engine really pushes the bike. Just a perfect Vespa that my family so admire.

Most (thought not all) scooters restored in Vietnam seem to be done without the proper parts. Parts are reused when they shouldn't be, beer cans are used for gaskets. Stupid things like that.

A scooter shop in my area has taken a few of them in for repairs. There was a doctor here who bought one, and then spent a few grand getting it repaired. Before it went to this dealer, the guy had spent somewhere around $7-8k on it. For that money he could have had an absolutely perfect one restored for him by a Kansas City area man who does some of the most beautiful restorations I've seen. And you get to choose the color and everything.

The seller just flat out lies in her description saying they are not from Vietnam then when you call her on it and ask she says they are. The pictures she's using and the same pics you see in other listings for the same scooters, the scooters in the pics are not the one your buying. Since shes in Southern California ask her what scooter shop has "offered to buy them all" as she states in the listing, she cant tell you because it's not true. Just trying to help some unknowing buyers out so they dont get ripped off. Ask any scootershop how many people bring in shiny scooters they bought on Ebay only to get told they'd have to rebuild the whole thing to make it safe, install a new LML engine, front end, etc. and that they wont work on it.
