that doesnt mean your bikes are approved...its not the engine but the full bike that must go thru testing. |

Again, our bikes are NOT CARB approved, yet. We are using Baron's engine which is CARB approved. Again, our bikes are in testing. Sorry I was not clear on that earlier. |

Sorry, these bikes can't be sold in CA. Jmstar specked them out without CARB approval and they do not have carbon canisters on them. EPA certificate also does not say they're California legal. Just like regular EPA, CARB issues certificates for a vehicle, not an engine. You have to have evaporative emission system installed in order to qualify for CARB certification. This system includes the entire vehicle (fuel tank, carburetor etc). |

I bought a Roketa from a dealer, who stated on the invoice that this bike was an enduro. Well, he said he couldn't get one in right away, so I was put on a waiting list. 5 months later, he delivered this beautiful bike to my door... without any paperwork so I could get it titled. A few months later, trying through the dealer, I finally get a notarized certificate of origin to get the bike titled. SURPRISE: THESE BIKES ARE NOT STREET LEGAL & ARE NOT ENDUROS, & MVD WON'T TITLE THEM NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!!! I've emailed & called Roketa in California numerous times, & FINALLY they sent me a certificate of origin from Goldenvale THAT IS NOT NOTARIZED, SO IT IS ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD TO ME!!! IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BUY A ROKETA: RUN, DO NOT WALK!!! THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE & YOU WILL GET SCREWED: AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY!!! THEY WILL TELL YOU WHATEVER YOU NEED TO HEAR TO GET YOU TO BUY THE BIKE, & THEN GOOD LUCK BUDDY!!! YOU WILL FEEL LIKE THE FAT GIRLFRIEND, WHEN SHE TELLS HER BOYFRIEND THAT SHE IS PREGNANT: YOU WILL NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN!!! And I'll bet you NEVER write back to me... that money I paid for this bike is just lost & gone forever. I own 3 classic cars, 2 new cars, 2 Harley's, & a Suzuki, besides 3 I am restoring. I know what I'm talking about: ROKETA HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE IDEA!!!

Ok, I'm a new Roketa 150 LE Owner. I just bought it on EBay for about 50% off--something I should have expected to get if the bike isn't street legal. I would really appreciate it if the Roketa Mfr would notify this posting when they get full CARB approval for the bike. I will carry the engine cert with my scooter and take my chances. One problem I'm having with the 150 is that it runs ok for a few miles then stalls out. Is it running too rich, to lean, what should I do? I would really appreciate your help. |

Sorry I didn't check this sooner--I've been really frustrated with the importer (Goldenvale, INC) who's not replying to my phone calls, e-mails, etc. My scooter was manufactured in the PRC by Taizhou Chaunl Motorcycle Manufacturing Company, Ltd. Marketed under the make Roketa. Dated Certificate of origin is 8/4/05 for the 2006 150CC Model MC-07-150. I've e-mailed and called both Steve Ebbs and Eric Witchridge at Goldenvale and have not gotten a call back. Neither the manufacturer nor the distributor is showing a CARB Certificate for their products on the CARB website. If you find anything else out, please let me know. I'll be sure to check this site several times a week. |

A class action law suit needs to be started! I am sure there are plenty of attorneys that would be willing to take this type of case. All buyers that were lied to and ripped off in one way or another contact the state attorney generals office and lodge a complaint. ROKETA (GOLDENVALE INC.) needs to be put out of business for good!!!!! Start a thread for all interested in this class action suit.. I'll sign it!! |

I have owned and ridden a Roketa now for 3 months and over 1500 miles. I have been through three oil changes, and passed many many gas stations! My only complaints are the suppliers do suck and the damn plastic clips are total crap. I got mine from Michael Blankenstein DBA Blanken Inc out of Salt Lake City Utah. He is an ignorant F&(^!!! |
