"Bogus crap on Craigslist. Anybody heard of these moron"

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/mcy/106845513.html These bozos are selling 152cc sportbikes as "scooters" and claiming that no license and no insurance and no plates are required!! I don't know anything about the company, but this sure ticks me off when the unsuspecting newbie could get roped into a bad deal so easily. May be perfectly fine bikes for all I know (doubt it), but their questionable marketing tactics sure suck. |

Those are great scoots at a great price. Excellent dealer support. The dealer up here sells them for $3200. They do NOT go 65mph, maybe 50 tops. |

I saw one at a local dealer here in Texas. The only EPA label I saw was claiming compliance with noise pollution laws. ??? If there was a proper emissions label it is hidden well. CPI model year 2006. |

The CPI GTR 150 is a scooter, it is not a sportbike, and is EPA approved if you do your homework. It may not be a traditional step-through, but a scooter nevertheless. In fact the CPI GTR 50 (50cc model) out performed the Aprillia SR50, Gilera DNA, Peugeot C-Tech WRC, and Derbi GP1. Look in the November 2005 edition of "TWIST AND GO" magazine if you don't belive me. So I would have to say that CPI makes a good quality product. |

Great since you have you have done your homeworkon the gtr50, maybe you could post a picture of the required epa label on the bike. It is supposed to be visable, I could not find it. The "noise pollution label" was in plain sight. |

The label is underneath the seat. The reason for that is the EPA doesn't want it to fade or get damaged. I don't have a picture of it, but check it out for yourself. |
