Accurate? Who cares? I've seen pornos with better acting! Spiderman and The Hulk were both less cartoon-y. James Brolin with his make-up may look like Ronald Reagan, but now I can see why we almost never see him on screen, HE CAN'T ACT! Judy Davis, I loved her in "The Ref", but goddamnit, is her performance here unconvincing, the script that bad, or the directing that horrendous? Oh yeah, all of the above. CBS was lucky they didn't show this "mini-series", its viewership would've plunged throughout the first night and totally bombed on the second night.

"CBS was lucky they didn't show this "mini-series", its viewership would've plunged throughout the first night and totally bombed on the second night." well, that's why they played it up. obviously, the show sucked, so they blew it up to get everybody to check it out, they probably had no intentions of playing it on the regular channel; kinda like a preemptive nielson rating. all they had to do was wave it in front of the right wing, and they predictably went apeshit. hook, line and sinker. suddenly its all over the news, and they got all the viewers they could expect.

Remember that movie "The Last Temptation of Christ?" that all the holy warriors got up in arms about? Well, I fell victim to my curiousity due to all the calls for boycott, and went to see it. Man O man, what a turd of a movie that was. A real pile of shit. |
