Whelp, I finally signed the next 30 years of my life away. I just won my bid on an apartment! Now all I have to do is find a way to pay for it. Has anyone delved into the world of mortgage love yet? How has the experience been thus far? I'm so nervous and excited about the prospect, I don't know whether to celebrate or vomit...I think I'll do both for the moment. -Lancelot

I own my house. Getting it was a bitch, but then once the closing costs were done and we were handed the keys it was fun.
It's a big responsibility. And there will be highs and lows. One thing I am driving mad is my property tax. It has gone up over $300 in the past 4 years. I am ready to go postal!Good thing is that you can do whatever you want to the place. It's yours! SCOTT |

The first one is always the toughest. Once you hvae some equity going, you're over the biggest hump. Just don't leverage yourself. Buy within your means, and remember that this is an investment, and as such is subject to market conditions. David K In my dreams, I slash your tires. BTSC

I took weight lifting in HS and my goal was to be able to crush a melon with my thighs by the end of the semester. I never actually tested to see if I could, just assumed it.
